The National Maritime Museum was looking to replace their existing Museum track light fixtures. Due to number of spots and investment involved the purchase had to be made via a European tender. Studio Warmerdam helped the museum through the various stages of this process.
In the first we helped the museum to determine what sort of lighting they needed and determine what was importent to them. Witch a test set-up we could evaluated the required color temperature required for their collection and the type lighting the exhibitions require. By holding interviews with involved departments we could determine the control required for their set-up and the number of lighting states used.
The outcome of this phase was used to develop the project requirements for their lighting which was then brought to the market. Offers that met the minimal requirement and where able to provide samples of proposed solution would then be evaluated on price, quality and esthetics. Together with GBM advise we created to tool and scoring list to quantify these aspects.
